Refresh DC September Meetup: From Concept to Comp

September 25th, 2008 at 7 p.m.

Don’t know how or where to begin a website, or looking to see how others go through the process? In the first of our two part “From Concepts to Code” series, Nguyet Vuong will present the process of designing a website from concepts to comp. She will demonstrate how to give an appropriate look and feel to a website and highlight portions of her design process. She will also cover both technical and creative techniques to get a project in motion. Next month, Refresh DC Organizer Emeritus Jason Garber will talk about the process of turning the same comp into a functional website. Jason will also be gracing us with a brief foreword prior to this month’s talk. Nguyet Vuong is a long time Refresh DCer, and a passionate local web designer. Coming from a fine arts background, her career started in print and she slowly made her way to the web in 2004, after many many sleepless nights learning HTML and CSS. She has never looked back and enjoys designing for the web tremendously.
